Overview

The Dornier DO-27, developed based on the DO-25, featured newly designed wings, a vertical stabilizer, and integrated wing fuel tanks, powered by a Lycoming GO-480-B1A6 engine. These modifications required relocating and reinforcing the landing gear to accommodate the heavier engine. The prototype first flew on October 17, 1956, and the German army, a key customer, received its first production model on January 14, 1957, making it the first German mass-produced motor aircraft after World War II. The scale model, with a striking red and white color scheme, offers excellent flying characteristics and accommodates 4S LiPo batteries (14.8 V, 3000-5000 mAh). The wingspan of 1600 mm, LED lighting, and large wheels enable short takeoffs, smooth landings, and stall-resistant performance. Ideal for advanced beginners and experienced pilots, the high-wing design provides stability, and the bright color scheme ensures easy visibility and position recognition during flight.
